Back2Basickz - May Newsletter 2026

MAY NEWSLETTER

Amanda Coombs, Executive Director, Back2Basickz Youth Support Services

Dear Back 2 Basickz Family,

As we welcome the month of May, we are reminded of the warmth, renewal, and sense of connection that this season brings. With the arrival of brighter days and milder weather, our community comes alive in new ways, and so does our programming. Many of our workshops will begin transitioning outdoors, creating more space for movement, creativity, and meaningful engagement in the fresh air.

May is also a time to recognize and celebrate the important people who nurture and support us. In honour of Mother’s Day, we extend our appreciation to all the mothers, caregivers, and maternal figures in our community whose strength, love, and dedication continue to shape the lives of our youth. Your impact does not go unnoticed.

As we look ahead to Victoria Day, we also welcome the opportunity to rest, reflect, and spend time with loved ones. Long weekends like these remind us of the importance of balance – taking time to recharge while staying connected to the community.

At Back 2 Basickz, we remain committed to creating safe, engaging, and culturally relevant spaces for our youth. Whether indoors or outdoors, our goal is always to foster growth, connection, and joy.

Thank you for continuing to be part of our journey.

With gratitude,

Amanda Coombs

Executive Director
